Introduction

-    Money  is a common need (of both Christians and non-Christians)
-    We work to earn money so we can buy our supplies
-    It is the greatest worry of the man kind
-    People dream of the things they can do if they have money
-    Money has become the god that man worships

But God is calling you and me to act differently. But how and why?

Let me show you 3 points,

1.    First seek the kingdom of God

a.    How to seek the kingdom of God?

-    To seek is to search something diligently and continuously
-    To seek the kingdom of God is, to expect God to express his power in this world (Matthew 12:28)
-    To seek the kingdom of God is to give the highest priority of your life to God (John 14:23)

2.    Also seek his righteousness

b.    How to seek his righteousness?

-    You should have a holy fear of God’s word, (Isaiah 66:2)
-    Turn from your evil ways, (Proverbs 3:7)
-    Fear the Lord so that you may not sin, (Exodus 20:20)

3.    But why should I do all the above, how shall I be blessed?

-    For you cannot serve both God and money at the same time, (Matthew 6:24)
-    For the pagans seek after all these things, (Matthew 6:32)
-    Your heavenly father knows your needs and he provides your needs (Matthew 6:32, Matthew 6:30)

Conclusion

-    Be a God chaser, instead of chasing after money.
-    Pray that God’s will be done in your life and everywhere else.
-    Trust in the Lord so he will provide your needs.
-    Have a holy fear of God.
